More skies…but these are not from Denver! All photos were taken with the iPhone by the way.

These first couple of photos are from Boulder a few weeks ago.  A storm moved across the County but never touched me.  I did get the fruit of it though:

One of the good things about Boulder is that there are trails literally within walking distance of an excellent restaurant on the Pearl Street Mall.  Here’s a shot from one of those trails:

I also got outside with my friend Lisa recently.  We went to the Mt. Evans Wilderness area and hiked the Hells Hole Trail, which, interestingly, doesn’t take you to Hells Hole…It did take us to a small lake above (or at) tree line.  The Mt. Evans Wilderness was beautiful – lush green and with a good amount of wildflowers. Here are some photos from the excursion:

Once again, I feel lucky to live in Colorado.

June wrap-up

This post is just a mishmash of things that happened and that I saw in the latter half of June 2011. 

I didn’t get to see Emily and Archer as much as I would have liked but did get over for brunch and a hang out.  Here is some evidence:

Archer is the cutest baby ever.

I know there are plenty of photography apps for the iPhone but I got a free one – Instagram. It doesn’t do a whole lot but does let you apply filters to photos and make them look more interesting and, in some cases, better.  Here are some examples (the first photo is the original and the second is the one adjusted via Instagram).

In June, I saw lot of beautiful skies.  I know I did a whole post on this previously but I had to share these new shots.  By the way, I realize that most of these photos could be religious or inspirational greeting cards, but whatever.

Someone save me

The internet is dissolving my brain. My blog suffers because of Facebook - all my pictures and comments of note now go on Facebook. I get sucked into watching full episodes of Jon Stewart. I check Icanhascheezburger twice a day. The iphone doesn't really help with this problem...with my Facebook and NYTimes "apps" my browsing is more efficient.

The most interesting thing that has happened to me lately is that I saw a Boston terrier puppy at the gym yesterday. You know how most women want babies? That's how I feel about puppies. I can't even find a picture of a Boston terrier online that is as cute as that little guy.

Otherwise, I had this strange dream that was animated (like a cartoon) about traveling in a canoe in the swamp but there were lots of alligators. Maybe this has something to do with my internet consumption.
